ABOUT ME

Originally from Ireland and now based in West Sussex, I studied Fine Art at Limerick School of Art and Design, winning 2 awards for my degree show.

Recently, I have begun to explore themes of childhood, inspired by watching my young daughter. Like many children, she has an amazing imagination and seems to inhabit a space somewhere between the real world and one she imagines. Her favourite toys and belongings have become much more than just inanimate objects to us as a family and often feature in my paintings.

A qualified art teacher, I taught Art and Design in secondary schools and sixth forms for over 13 years, honing my approach until my teaching was consistently graded outstanding.

During lockdown, I developed and taught online Future Creatives workshops for the University of the Arts London (UAL) which comprises of 6 colleges, among them Central Saint Martins and Chelsea College of Arts.

I now teach weekly online drawing classes to children all over the world and also adult art classes in beautiful Shoreham-by-Sea, West Sussex.

I am passionate about helping others find (or re-ignite) their creative spark!
